What a joy to hear such a wonderfully versatile and multi-talented entertainer as this fresh young talent on her debut recording! Miss Sasser combines the style and emotional control of a cabaret singer with the swing of a jazz singer, the power of a Broadway belter and the musicality of an opera diva. Add to that the fact that not only is she blessed with all these strengths, but she also has the sense of humur to satirize them on the spectacular tour-de-force "The Girl In 14G". It takes a daring soul to record covers of famous classics like Herb Alpert’s "Rise" or Chuck Mangione's "Feels So Good.” Nicole recreates these standards masterfully by making them her own, yet paying homage to the originals.
